the post for the 19th…
…should have been a review of the Cape Town Natural and Organics Fair.
It might be one day late, but I am still reading all the pamphlets. Watch this space.
Right, a few cool things I picked up:
1. The Cape Town Green Map.
A fold out map listing the parks/gardens in and around Cape Town, green orientated shops and restaurants, organic markets, blue flag beaches.
2. The book ‘Rawlicious’
It looks amazing (despite the silly title), but I don’t think I am brave enough to go completely vegan! The vegan brownies they sold at the expo was delicious.
3. Pick n Pay
Their green products turned out to be biodegradable, VOC free, n0n-corrosive, sodium laurel sulphate-, ammonia -and chlorine-free, non-toxic to humans, animals, plants, septic tanks or aquatic life. Cool! I will try them out and report back
4. 100% Biodegradable food containers
Check out www.greenhome.co.za and www.natural-pack.co.za.
5. Earth Warriors
They sell seriously cool bamboo T-Shirts.
6. Brewers Union
I picked up 4 Brewers Union beers and CARRIED them all the way from the CTICC to St George’s cathedral.
