The Hangover (FILM)
The Hangover is wickedly funny!
It is offensive, totally politically incorrect, sexually quite risky and above all hilarious. Sensitive viewers should rather go and see Night at the Museum 2.
Four guys go to Las Vegas for a bachelor’s party and things go seriously wrong. It sounds like a recipe for a typical ‘what happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas’ film. What sets The Hangover apart however is the fact that you are not shown the wild night in question, but the morning after.
When the guys wake up with no memory of the night before (and one of them missing), the viewer goes along for the bumpy ride to figure out what went down. The bumpy ride includes a chicken in the hotel room, a tiger in the hotel bathroom, a baby in the closet, a marriage to a hooker/stripper and an off-key musical performance by Mike Tyson.
The brand of humor is also a notch above the silly, doped up, below the belt gags played to perfection by Seth Rogen, Paul Rudd and the likes in movies such as Superbad, Knocked up, and I love you, man. Even though I found these films very entertaining, The Hangover is a breath of fresh hair.
This film will make you laugh, make you forget about the recession and leave you with a few unsolved mysteries, such as the chicken and the smoldering chair…
