Today a baby died on the streets of Africa.
The mother was denied help at a clinic. Her child was born on the sidewalk outside. A witness says the baby had hit the curb, the side of its face swollen.
Today Beki Cele, police commissioner, held a press conference.
It was not about a dead baby. It was not about a stranger who bought a razor to cut the umbilical cord. It was not about the broken heart of a 22-year old mother-not-to-be.
It was about an English soccer fan that breached security by entering the lockers of the English soccer team.
