When Dan Auerbach, one half of the Black Keys, releases a solo album and there is a strong element of The Black Keys present in the music, don’t fret. If you can produce anything close to the brilliance of The Black Keys, you’ve done well. Not only does Dan achieve that, he takes it further, he takes it away from what he achieves with Black Keys drummer, Patrick Carney. On some tracks it is leaner, on others more gentle, but always the stuff that real Rock n Roll dreams are made of.
